Democrats are just cooler.

Call me biased, but I just generally like Democratic politicians more as human beings. Between Barack Obama nerding out Star Trek Style and Hillary Clinton being totally into “Texts from Hillary” can we we just go ahead and say that Democrats are totally running April?

So this is one of the cutest pictures of Barack Obama I have ever seen.

I think he’s such a cool dude. I might not always be a fan of his politics, but he just seems like a bomb-ass dude to hang out with. He is totally fangirling in that picture with Lt. Uhura, cheesin like a 6 year old in an Olan Mills school picture.

Also, let’s not forget how his offical tumblr reblogged “I Hope Barack Obama.”

Not to be outdone, Hillary caught wind of “Texts from Hillary” and invited the dudes to meet her in person.

“Texts from Hillary” founders Stacy Lambe and Adam Smith met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in her office at her invitation on Tuesday and left with maybe the best parting gift possible: An autographed, Hillary-written submission to their popular Tumblr.

“Thanks for the many LOLZ Hillary ‘Hillz’” the top American diplomat wrote on the photo montage.

Smith (@ASmith83) posted Clinton’s submission via Twitter and captioned it: “I just met Secretary Clinton. She loves the site. Pictures to come. Here’s her post she autographed.”

Really? Yup.

“Yes, the submission on their site credited to Secretary Clinton is in fact from her. She wanted to meet the brains behind the site, and they were just in her office about an hour ago,” Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines told Yahoo News by email. Lambe and Smith each got a personalized copy of the submission.

Yahoo News spoke with Lambe and Smith when the Tumblr launched about the project.”The site is meant to be a compliment to Hillary. Hopefully, everyone gets that,” Lambe told us via email.

I know one thing, I wish to hell Hillary and Obama got along better (read Game Change, the whole book, not just the Sarah Palin parts… I mean, they play nice now, but dayum…) Can you imagine if they were besties? Joe Biden would be Secretary of State, which is what he really wanted all along considering all of his foreign policy experience, and Hillary would be VP which is just a hop-skip-jump away from where she’s wanted to be since the 80s. This election would be locked UP if Obama switched their positions and then Hillary would just cruise into the White House in 2016 and we could finally get this country out of this ditch Bush put us in.

I’m basically salivating right now at that prospect. Somebody get me a bib. And The White House on line one so I can convince them with all my sassy gay black oratorical skillz.
