Mitt Romney: MASTER HYPOCRITE!!!

I am bowled over by this guy’s doublespeak. Remember how Mitt keeps refusing to release his tax returns? Well look what some nice lady put in my inbox this morning! Ten years ago during his run for governor, he went all Moral & Indignant at his Democratic opponent because she didn’t want to release her husband’s tax returns.

One day after balking at releasing his own tax returns, Republican Mitt Romney’s campaign yesterday accused Democrat Shannon O’Brien of covering up her husband’s past lobbying work, including his ties to failed energy giant Enron.

“Her hands aren’t clean,” said Romney deputy campaign manager Eric Fehrnstrom of O’Brien’s release of her tax return but not the filings of her husband, longtime lobbyist R. Emmett Hayes. “She can’t claim to be disclosing anything until she discloses the returns of her husband, the Enron lobbyist. Under Shannon O’Brien, the state Pension Board lost millions by buying Enron stock when it was collapsing - what is she hiding?”

And you know what? She probably was hiding something. Her husband worked for Enron. If anything, she should have been more than forthcoming with any financial records because that whole Enron thing was not pretty in the least. If she didn’t have anything to hide, she should have been totally transparent. But she wasn’t. Because she probably had some skeletons in there.

AND SO DO YOU, MITTENS! If you don’t have anything to hide, just release your tax returns. We’re tired of sitting around waiting for you and your team to figure out how to form a patriotic narrative of “We shipped all of our money to offshore accounts for the good of America!”

The good thing for Mitt here is that he is clearly proving himself not to be a robot.

A robot would be able to remember what was said and not directly contradict it 10 years later.
