Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett Packard and currently unemployed Professional Loudmouth, says “It is not fair that public employee union pensions and benefits are so rich now that cities and states are going bankrupt, and college tuition is going up 20 and 30%… There is a lot that isn’t fair right now.”
She actually says a lot of crap especially considering she was one of the worst CEOs in history.
Okay Miss Fiorina, let me put on my reading glasses.
You were one of THE most powerful women in business and you threw it all away because you’re greedy and your greedy practices are bad for businesses. You got fired because gave yourself big fat bonuses every year for doing nothing but posing for magazine covers while at the same time cutting jobs left and right to the tune of almost 20,000. You sent jobs overseas and called it “right-shoring” (what?) and presided over a merger with Compaq that went absolutely nowhere.
You got fired and your rich shareholder buddies voted on a package that gave you $21 million upfront plus a severance package of pension and stock options worth around $21 million more. You have been sitting on your butt doing nothing but collecting interest for the past 7 years because nobody will hire you, but that’s okay because you’re worth $40 million.
Excuse the hell outta me if I wanna join the union and make enough to put a few hundred bucks in my pension plan every month. Not everybody gets to suck at a job and get paid by their rich buddies for getting fired!
Y’all, this heffah got paid more money than I’ll ever see in my entire lifetime for being bad at her job and getting fired. You know what I get if I get fired? About four or five hundred bucks from the State of New York once a week until I find a new job or until the benefits run out in a few months or so. And she says it’s not fair that the unions are so rich?
I’ll tell you what’s not fair: somebody letting her irrelevant ass sit in on a roundtable political discussion on the economy on a news program. What does she know about how to run the economy? She damn near ran just one company into the ground.
Miss Fiorina can have several seats. She can have $40 million worth of seats. She can spend all her money on all the seats in Yankee Stadium and then we’ll see how she feels about how rich the unions are.
(PS: Is Al Sharpton sick? He got the Star Jones bighead-littlebody thing goin on these days.)
