About.

I live in a constant state of early 90s.
When college rock was good.
And black people were still on TV.

Jennifer Lopez “Louboutins”

JLo

JLo’s new album is 100% Weakcity Lamesauce, so let’s rewind back to Dec. ‘09 when she released this song as the official lead single for Love?

Jenny from the Block Collective of People Who Never Should’ve Been Allowed to Do Anything Past Backup Dancer had been working on Love? for the past 83 years but everytime she released a single, it flopped.  Po thang.  I think I was one of the 4.7 people in the country who was pulling for “Louboutins” though and I was totally On Board with this.  Brandy recorded it first, but then she left (got fired from) her record label and they gave it to JLo.  Either way, it’s so gay club which is basically what 85% of the radio is these days; shoulda been a hit.  But it wasn’t.  And it didn’t help that she fell on her ass during the debut performance of it. (FF to 3:10)

Oh well.

I still like it.
