En Vogue “Nearly Lost”

En Vogue

2004’s Soul Flower was completely overlooked by the entire world, but track for track, this album gave me more 5 Stars Songs than any of their previous albums, regardless of the fact that this isn’t the real EnVogue.  The album just sounds like grown women, doing what they like to do, nothing to prove, making quality soul music.  It doesn’t have the fire of Terry+Cindy+Dawn+Maxine, but Rhona more than held her own and I can listen to this from beginning to end.

“Nearly Lost” is a simple song with a nice groove.  Three women singing a song without the histrionics and just making music.  My favorite R&B is when I don’t feel like I’m being screamed at so this is up my alley.  Get into it.
