Teedra Moses “Be Your Girl”

This weather is so perfect.
It definitely needs Teedra Moses.

The summer before this album came out, Ashanti released her second album, and Beyonce released her first, back to back.  They were both so disappointing I swore off mainstream R&B forever.  I couldn’t believe so many people were in love with such mediocre music when I knew there was still quality R&B being made that nobody was getting to hear.

The next summer, Brandy released Afrodisiac (still my favorite R&B album of this century) and Teedra released Complex/Simplicity.  Together, they renewed my faith in the genre after Beyawnse and Ashitty almost ruined it forever.

Ashanti is so damn simple.  Please look at her shoes.  Who shows up to a Fashion Week event wearing shoes that flip the bird?  Nevermind her hair/dress combo.  I know her mother did not approve this.
