Oh the Injustice! When beautiful people actually don’t have it all.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I’m not even sure I still live in America right now. This just doesn’t seem right.
Can we please talk about Miss Alabama 2012 *slash* Alabama Quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend *slash* the internet’s new prettiest girl ever?

Guess what her job is.

DL Hughley breaks up with Chick Fil A.

I know I was already done talking about CFA, but DL Hughley wrote them a letter today. Remember when he was just loud and ignorant doing loud and ignorant comedy on ComicView? I used to secretly stay up late to watch that show. Who’da thunk he would’ve grown up to have a show on CNN and talk about things that matter. And they *still* never found a good replacement for him on ComicView. Hats off to you, DL, with your unfortunate name…
Anyway, here’s the letter.

Read this quote.
“This country has a long history of discrimination against certain groups. Eventually we wind up getting it right. Right? Against women, against blacks, the civil rights movement and so on. And in justifying that discrimination when it was in place, some folks turn to the Bible and turn to their religious beliefs and said we have to have slavery because it’s in the Bible. Women have to be second-class citizens because that’s in the Bible. Blacks and whites can’t get married because that’s in the Bible. That wound up in a case. A judge wrote that in an opinion, which the Supreme Court ultimately struck that down, saying that’s not right, judge—the Equal Protection clause says you can’t do that. Why is gay marriage any different?”

—Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, via Towleroad.
Megyn Kelly better watch it before she gets fired for having a baby. Maybe not *literally* fired for having a baby, but ever since she came back from maternity leave, she’s been making way more sense than is ever allowed on Faux News.
She might make me like her…eventually.

Final word on Chick Fil A.
I don’t understand the need to fervently defend a company that so blatantly discriminates. You’ve used so many arguments. People will lose jobs. The food is good. They have great customer service. There are other bad companies. the CEO is rich whatever you do. etc. So many arguments.
And I don’t understand why “equality for all” wouldn’t trump every single one of those arguments, even if they were based on sound facts. If we all treated everyone equally, many of our socioeconomic problems would fall by the wayside anyway. Equality should always be first priority. I’m ashamed you don’t feel the same way.
And I’m done.

I don’t really feel like talking about Chick Fil A.
But DAMN. I had no idea I knew so many idiots of so many varying stripes.

I’ve seen the “Chick Fil A doesn’t discriminate; if you go in a restaurant and say you’re gay they’ll still give you a sandwich” idiots.
I’ve seen the “Chick Fil A is so good; I’ma eat wherever I want” gay idiots.
And then there are the family values idiots who are always idiots and I just didn’t realize I knew so many of them.
I just wanna show you this conversation I almost participated in on Facebook. I say “almost” because I did make a couple of comments, but I stopped, because you can’t argue with conservative Christians. They can’t read. If they could, they’d actually form some independent opinions and stop acting like sheep. But we’ll leave that alone for now.

Speculation over. Chic Fil A is now officially anti-gay.

Not that we all didn’t know anyway. They’ve been donating millions of dollars to anti-gay causes for years now, but for some reason, we just look the other way and wolf down waffle fries anyway.
Stop looking the other way. Their COO just flat out said Chick Fil A is not pro-equality, so now you have no excuses. Stop going there.
