(Y’all like my MS Paint skillz? I’m so technological and artsy.)
But seriously. Cory Booker will live in the projects to help bring drug activity down, he will shovel the snow from your driveway, he will save you from a burning building, and now he will live on food stamps to show critics how vital school lunches are to families who can’t always afford to feed their families at home.
Just hand this man the 2016 Presidential election now. Can we do that? Oh, we can’t? Well can I just hand him my drawls instead because my body is ready for you Mayor Booker!
Cory Booker, Deval Patrick, and Michelle Obama. That massive sound you hear is the sound of panties collectively dropping all over the country. I missed every one of these speeches the first time because I was far too occupied with designing what my monogrammed towels would look like after our group marriage.
I thought I was into bears, but apparently all I need is a well-dressed politician-like figure with smooth skin and a hopeful speech. I might not even need to watch Obama’s speech because my heart might can’t take it.
They were all cheesy speeches though. And you can just call me macaroni because I am drinking every bit of this.
Every time I turn around, Mayor Booker is re-upping himself, doing something to make his already wonderful image even more wonderful. He pretty much can do no wrong and I don’t understand anyone who actually admits to not liking him. I mean, what else do you want him to do? Save a woman from a burning building?
Oh right, HE DID THAT TOO.
(CBS News) Newark Mayor Cory Booker called it his “come to Jesus moment” when he ran into a burning building to save a neighbor’s life.
Booker arrived home last night to discover his next-door neighbor’s house on fire, and rescued a young woman trapped upstairs by carrying here through the flames, suffering second-degree burns in the process.
On “CBS This Morning” Booker and Newark Police Detective Alex Rodriguez described their terrifying ordeal.
The mayor’s security team discovered the fire and pounded on the door to alert residents, when an elderly woman said that her daughter was trapped upstairs.
At first Rodriguez would not let Booker into the burning house. “He basically told me, ‘This woman is going to die if we don’t help her,’ and what can I say to that?,” Rodriguez said. “I let him go and without thinking twice, he just ran into the flames and rescued this young lady.” (cont.)
So now of course people are saying that is the perfect backdrop to a presidential campaign. We all know politics in this country: Issues don’t matter—a good narrative does. From football star to real-life superman? It doesn’t get better than that. But here’s a list of reasons why Cory Booker could never be President.
