Tilda Swinton for W magazine.

She has done a lot of things and she’s uniformly amazing in each one.  But I will forever be creeped out by her role in the first Narnia movie.  She toed that pedo/boylover line with deft agility.  I could only have been more disturbed and uncomfortable if Michael Jackson were playing it.

Oh wait, he did play it…that Martin Bashir interview…………….

Can I tell you how much fruit I’ve been eating lately what with my whole new Fitness plan?  I couldn’t even eat citrus when I was little.  The taste was fine, but after all the juice was gone, I just ended up with a ball of toilet tissue in my mouth and I had to spit that out.  Fast forward to being a Grown Up and it ain’t no thang for me to eat two oranges on the subway on the way to Brooklyn.  And yes, I eat on the subway.  So what.  I make sure there’s no mess so your sideeye is unwarranted and unappreciated.

Natsumi Hayashi, from her website where she posts self-pics of herself “levitating.” She says sometimes she has to jump 300 times to get the perfect shot, but in my opinion, her results are totally worth it! She looks like a real-life Japanese Princess Toadstool from Super Mario Brothers 2, the one nobody cared about.

Life goes on, even in the shadow of a volcano.

People play ping-pong as a cloud of ash billowing from Puyehue volcano is seen in the background in southern Chile.

Puyehue began erupting on June 3rd after five decades of dormancy.  Thousands have been evacuated and flights have been cancelled as far away as Australia as the volcanic ash cloud makes its way across the southern hemisphere.
