The reason I don’t post more gay rappers/musicians is because all of the music is so AWFUL! I cringe every time someone posts a gay rap video and tags me in the post like I’m supposed to jump for joy that some awful queen got a camcorder and a Casio.
But this is FIRE! Everything around me is scorched earth right now. Who is this?! Where is the collabo with Azealia? Can he have a record deal? Because I would by this.
So, today I have put my new bed together (by myself!!), re-organized all my clothes, and gone to the gym. I don’t know what song fully encapsulates all of those accomplishments, but this one is real close in spirit.
I really like Eve. Her Behind the Music was one of the best. But, y’all.
Is this Eve’s comeback? I’m secondhand embarrassed for her with these nursery school rhymes. Who told her this track was hot? Somebody in her world does not love her. Real friends don’t let you make an ass of yourself like this.
I’m upset. I wanted another “Tambourine.”
I mean, let me know. Is this really weak? You know I’m never really sure what’s hot in these rap streets.
…yet. I wouldn’t be surprised though. He is obviously on something other than regular weed. I know a lot of potheads and I’ve seen a lot of marijuana reactions, but I’ve never known anybody to smoke themselves all the way into a whole different person.
I think it was a remix of something off her first album. I just watched the video again though and it took me back to that moment, laying on my Grandma’s bed (because we couldn’t watch TV in the living room…we had to “go back in the room” to watch videos), and seeing that epicness of female rapdom. Lil Kim, Da Brat, Angie Martinez (LOL, who?), Missy Elliott, and Left Eye. That was pretty amazing.
