     Slavery really wasn’t a big deal; I don’t know why everyone’s so upset about it.

See.

I thought if I made a bunch of these and tried to make light of the situation down in Tennessee, it would keep me sane.  Keep me calm.  Keep me from wanting to scream at the top of my lungs at the ever-growing frustration of being a black person in this country.

Why did nobody tell me about this in January?  How did I miss this?  Oh right, because slavery was no big deal so it’s OK if Tennessee wants its public school teachers to put a positive spin on it.

     The South just keeps showing its ass.

I reserve a lot of Side-eye and Derision for Missibama and sometimes I forget to check up on what the rest of The South is doing.  You guys.  I am so through with that place.  Can we talk about Louisiana and Tennessee for a minute?  Because one of em is rejecting gay kids from schools and the other one is passing bills to basically teach Creation.
