So let's talk about _____ .
One white county in Kentucky understands Democratic policies are better for poor people.

image

It’s no secret to anyone paying attention that Republican policies hit poor Americans the hardest.  Their “small government” mantra (concerning anything that doesn’t have to do with women’s bodies, adults marrying who they choose, and Christian propaganda) takes away social programs sorely needed by our nation’s economically disadvantaged.  Southern white Republicans have let Jesus cloud their better judgement, voting Republican out of a sense of misguided morality and ignoring how much harder their lives are under Republican leadership.

All but one county in rural Kentucky.

Watch this guy get arrested for drinking an Arizona Tea.

Christoper “Xtrav” Beatty was drinking an Arizona in the parking lot of a liquor store in Fayetteville, NC while waiting for his friend who was inside shopping.  I hope that tea was amazing, because now he has to go to court for it.

Take some deep breaths or burn some sage or whatever you need to do to get yourself in the calmest space possible before you watch this.

Cops are disgusting.

Let me tell you about most of the police officers I’ve encountered.

Another day, another child accidentally committing murder.

Guns don’t kill people.  People kill people.

In this instance, a very small person in Kentucky killed another small person, using a gun that doesn’t kill people.  Because people kill people, not guns.  Not even the gun that was used in this murder, a gun that was made for children.  Because America makes rifles for children.

Reese Witherspoon went all Louisiana swamp rat over the weekend.

And got herself arrested.

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a state trooper said she wouldn’t stay in the car while her husband was given a field sobriety test in Atlanta.

Witherspoon was released from jail after the Friday morning arrest and was in New York Sunday night for the premiere of her new film “Mud.” She posed for cameras on the red carpet but did not stop to talk to reporters.

Y’all.  She was beyond tanked.  I am cracking up all over myself.

One in Three Americans wants Christianity as our national religion…but nobody reads the Bible.

This is so rich.  I read a couple of news stories separately, days apart, and it only just occurred to me to put them together because these people are ridiculous.  And of course this would start with North Carolina.

Nelson, GA passes ordinance requiring gun ownership.

And The South shall rise again!  (to even greater heights of embarrassment and whatthefuckery)

The Family Protection Ordinance is supposed to help keep the small town north of Atlanta safe.  Since they do not have a full-time police presence, citizens could take the law into their own hands if they all had fire arms.

(I would feel SO safe with this guy to protect me.)

So let me just go on ahead and add Nelson, Georgia to the list of places I will not be spending my Summer Vacation.

But wait.  It gets better.

Gay marriage will lead to marriage fraud!

Because obviously Americans ONLY enter into marriages because of love and commitment.  I’ve never met two people of different sexes who have gotten married for money or celebrity or a green card.  That absolutely never happens ever.

Georgia GOP Chairwoman Sue Everhart warns the Marietta Daily Journal that gay marriage is not right because same-sex couples “do not have the equipment” for a sexual relationship. She also says the whole thing is a set-up for heterosexuals who lie about their sexuality to pretend to get gay-married and collect the benefits.

Today in South Carolina: Throwing your boyfriend’s leg out the door.

Greenwood, SC is way more turnt up than I realized.

Police say a South Carolina woman stabbed her boyfriend, then threw his prosthetic leg in the yard to prevent him from chasing her.
